Use application testing, not ingredient assumptions
Amidoamines change charge behavior with pH and acid neutralization. Their contribution to emulsion structure, skin feel and compatibility therefore depends on the acid system, oil phase, primary emulsifier and other ionic materials.
Begin with the supplier guidance for the selected grade, calculate the acid route carefully and record final pH after full equilibration. Complete stability, preservative efficacy, packaging, safety and regulatory assessment remain the formulator’s responsibility.
Read the amidoamine guide, review BD22 and request a screening sample.
